Lincoln Memorial                                                         Alexandria Architectural Center (Virginia Tech)

MA Architectural Design and Architecture MArch students undertook a study trip to Washington DC exploring the theme of Civic Space. The trip included visits to Washington's iconic landmarks the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington monument. Students also visited Washington Alexandria Architectural Center (Virginia Tech) and met Prof. Paul Emmons, Director of WAAC's PhD profgramme who   contributed to a wonderful lecture on the symbolic origins of Washington DC.
