Leicester School of Architecture Information Centre
The LSA/LRSA mentoring programme is a unique venture aimed at bringing the Leicester School of Architecture closer to the region’s profession. Using a web-based facility it connects practitioners with our final year BA and BArch students, increasing design quality in the School and enabling practices to link better with student talent.
Students upload their work onto a password protected website. Mentors see students uploaded drawings and ideas online, allowing them to offer professional advice to individual students. Mentors may choose to meet students face-to-face either in School or in practice to supplement on-line comments.
‘Mentor-Practices’ develop close relationships with students for possible employment opportunities. Students would already be familiar with practice ethos and approach. Students thereby benefit from on-going professional advice and become better geared for practice.
If you are interested in engaging with the School in this new initiative or have any queries, please contact Rob Sheen rsheen@dmu.ac.uk
